Did they think I was stupid? I saw from the corner of my eye that Susie stiffened, and then she made some lame excuse that Rebecca needed some paperwork. Susie wouldn’t be the one to bring it to her, it would be me. I watched with narrowed eyes as she scurried towards the hall, the opposite way from the elevators, with a folder in her hand.
I brought up the security feed on my computer. I didn’t see anything suspicious at first. Nothing was going on in the lobby. But then I saw Lorena and Sasha waiting by the stairwell, and I also saw the women from the mid-floor flowing out of the stairwell door a second later, with guards guiding them towards the lower floor at the back of the building.
“What are you all doing?” I picked up my phone and texted Rebecca.
