Three days after I gave my statement about Della, Lenora asked me to meet her in her office. Taren was there when I arrived, along with two members of Pinehaven's council. Several papers covered the table between them. I took the empty chair beside Taren.
"Pinehaven will be attending a regional gathering in two days." Lenora placed one of the papers in front of me. "Several northern packs will be there to discuss trade, borders, and council matters. Blackridge is attending too."
My eyes went to the list of packs. There were eleven names, some I remembered hearing when I was a child. Others meant nothing to me. Blackridge was near the bottom.
"What does this have to do with me?" I asked. "I'm not a member of Pinehaven. I can't imagine I'm needed for any of those discussions."
