Mara found me while I was arranging supplies at the visitor house. She had received a message from a woman who once helped wolves find work in northern territories. The woman remembered Corbin Ash, although she hadn't seen him in years. I followed Mara into her office to hear what she'd learned.
"Her name is Judith," Mara explained. "Corbin came to her looking for employment after leaving Blackridge. He didn't have a recommendation from his former Alpha. She remembers him because he had trouble finding work."
"Does she know where he went?" I asked. "Or whether he's still alive?"
"She believes he traveled north with his mate." Mara handed me her phone. "He also started calling himself Ben. Judith doesn't remember his new surname."
