We returned to Pinehaven two days after the attack. Taren had already sent Lenora a report about what happened, including the names Lysander recognized. The injured warrior was taken to the medical building when we arrived. Tessa went with him while I followed Taren to Lenora's office.
Lysander had returned to Blackridge before us.
He needed to speak with Cassian and make sure Lucan didn't learn how much we knew. I thanked him before he left, and he promised to contact us if anything changed. I hoped Lucan wouldn't discover where his son had been. We couldn't afford to lose another person helping us.
