I drove straight to Pinehaven without stopping anywhere I didn't need to. Cassian had told me not to follow Kiara into the search area alone, and I had no intention of ignoring him. My job was to get the warning to Lenora and make sure Taren received it. After that, Pinehaven could decide what happened next.
I reached their border several hours later.
Two wolves stopped my vehicle before I entered farther into the territory. I gave them my name and asked to speak with Luna Lenora immediately. One of them recognized me from the regional gathering. He left while the other remained with me.
Lenora arrived with another warrior.
"Lysander, you weren't expected here." She looked toward my vehicle. "Is Cassian with you? Did something happen in Blackridge?"
"Cassian stayed behind.
