The next meeting had already started by the time I returned to Tessa. Taren was attending with Lenora, which left me free to speak with more wolves in the common area. I added Orson's name beside the information he had given me and closed my notebook. I had enough to think about without filling another page.
Tessa returned from the dining area carrying two plates. She placed one in front of me before taking the seat across from mine. I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I saw the food. Searching for answers had made me forget about everything else.
"Eat before you start questioning another person." Tessa pointed at my plate. "Taren will blame me if you spend this entire gathering living on questions and water. I don't want to hear him complain."
I started eating.
