(Cassian)
I took the message from Brennan and read it myself. Victor Hale had requested another payment from Father, claiming he possessed information worth protecting. The address belonged to a property in Westhaven, but there was no date on the message. I looked toward Kiara, wondering whether she had heard everything.
"Another survivor?" Kiara asked. "Who is Victor talking about? I was told everyone from Silvercrest died except me. Does he know someone who escaped?"
"We don't know whether he's telling the truth," I answered. "He could be trying to get more money from Father. But we have an address, and we'll investigate it. I won't ignore anything that might help you find answers."
Kiara took the message and read it carefully. She examined the address before returning it to me. Lysa
