“Hey, you two, pass the bottle over here before Thorne hogs it all,” I called out, leaning forward over the coffee table that was littered with greasy pizza boxes and cans of beer that had tipped over, spilling sticky puddles onto the wood.
The living room in this old house felt thick and humid tonight, the air pressing against my skin after a full day of dragging through lectures and hauling boxes around these creaky floors.
