River The car tires screeched against the gravel as we pulled into the driveway. We weren't gone as long as we expected, but every minute away had felt like an hour. I stepped out of the driver’s seat, stretching my stiff back. I looked over at Rex. He was already standing by his car, his face like a mask of stone. He didn't look happy. He hadn't looked happy since we left. Even while we were working, he was full of worry. I could see it. Although it was unlike him, I just thought he was worried for nothing. "See?"
