"No. I have to keep you from doing anything else that's stupid. Go back to the hotel," she demanded.
"Need I remind you that we're not even that close? Both in blood relation and overall family ties," Jeffrey scowled. Piper swallowed the lump in her throat to keep herself from showing how his words affected her. Jeffrey had no idea who she was to him, and she had to keep it that way for his protection.
"Even if we're not that close, Jeff, it doesn't mean we're not still family. Extended or not. Now, stop being stupid and go back to the hotel. What do you plan on achieving with stalking your ex-wife?"
