The following week went by in a flash for everyone, especially for the likes of Annika and Leon. When Leon notified Annika that he was returning to the Great Apple, Annika couldn’t contain her excitement, much to her father’s chagrin. Annika took it upon herself to go to the airport to welcome Leon home. Though her family tried to get her to stay home and have him come to her, she was adamant about going to the airport to fetch Leon herself.
As if that weren’t enough, Annika didn’t just go to the passenger pickup. She parked the car in the parking garage and walked into the airport to wait for him.
