Clay’s POV
Things are not going as well as I thought with our plan. We have tried to enter Black Adder several times in the last few days without success. I even sent in two men on opposite ends of the perimeter wall. The patrols were on them quick, too quick for it to be just a coincidence. They knew we were rogues, but they didn’t know why we were there. I couldn’t wait to see the surprise on those bitches faces when they realized that we were there to kill them.
That was the only thing that was making me happy these days. My men are getting more concerned with each passing day. They seemed to know that we were biting off more than we could chew on this. It didn’t help matters when Tom blurted out, “When were you going to tell us about the vampires, Clay?”
