I glanced at Chase, and he nodded in understanding before his eyes glazed over. Blane had picked up his phone and quietly made a call. I knew that they were doing this at the same time, so both Robert and Alexei could be here so we could finish this discussion. I would not waste time by having to go over this twice. I wanted to have the Council gone as soon as possible. I wanted to ask about my mate being a potential target. I knew what a piece of crap Clay was, but I forced myself to wait.
