Racing to the Hospital at a Moment’s Notice
Damien’s face was cold and expressionless as he waited for Allison to come down.
No one dared to say a word. After the nurse had taken Elara up to her room, most of the other staff members had cleared out. The only players left were Damien, Kendra, and Mandy.
Soon, Allison came down with an extremely pale face. She looked like she was going to be sick.
Damien immediately laid it into her, demanding, “Did you really tell Aunt Elara she could join Uncle Arthur if she loves him so much?”
“I was just trying to push her to get better. Nothing the nurses and doctors were doing was helping her,” Allison said defensively, crossing her arms over her chest.
“You basically gave my mother an ultimatum. Basically, get better or die. How is that helping?
