They took a minute or two to compose themselves. Hannah touched up her make-up and Henry straightened his tie. Finally, hand in hand, they walked out of the room. Constable Maguire wished them all the best and they returned to the count. Half an hour or so later, Henry stood and gave his acceptance speech. Hannah looked on and smiled. Then, when he was done, she walked up to him and they embraced. The flashlights of what seemed like a million cameras exploded into life. The voices of what seemed like a million photographers started barking out instructions for them to turn this way and that, to look up and look down, to smile, smile, smile.
