Harper’s POV “Oh my God,” I whispered under my breath. Had that actually worked? Or was it merely a coincidence? After a drawn-out moment, Eric’s eyes faded back to their usual color. He looked just as shocked as I felt. “Did...Did that work?” My face twisted into a dubious look. “You’re asking me??” I questioned sharply. I quickly marched over to him and grabbed his arm, checking to see if there was anything noticeably amiss. I was overcome with worry, fearing that I had somehow hurt him in the process. “Are you alright? How do you feel?” I asked him. Eric rolled his shoulders back, while I noticed the dozens of goosebumps that lined the exposed skin of his arms. “I feel okay, I think,” he said. “A little disoriented. I mean, I just wasn’t anticipating that so suddenly.”
