Harper’s POV Instead of calling for one of the maids to prep the bath, Lucas readied everything himself. I was a bit reluctant when he pulled away at first. My nerves coiled and twisted with anxious tension as I felt his warmth leave me. But I was swiftly instructed to pick out a fresh change of clothes in the meantime. A few moments later, Lucas stepped out of the bathroom. “It’s ready, Harper.” His voice was still rough from letting Levi give out the terrible howl earlier.
