I opened my eyes slowly, feeling an unsual warmth wrapped around my body.
I was lying in our bed, and Lexus’s arms were locked tightly around my waist. His chest was pressed flat against my back, sharing his
heat with my skin.
He was breathing softly against my neck, his fingers tangled securely with mine over the sheets.
After the terrifying night of being tied up in the dark, cold store room, waking up in his embrace felt like entering paradise. I felt so safe and protected from the monsters of the world.
I shifted my body slightly, trying to slide out of the bed to get dressed but the second I moved, Lexus let out a low, deep rumble in his throat.
His strong arms tightened around me pulling my back even harder against his chest. He refused to let me go.
