“Throw a punch at me,” I barked at one of the warriors. His eyes went wide, a mix of shock and disbelief. I’d decided to take over training again after watching one of them fight like a coward, I was burning with frustration. All those hours of my training, all my effort… was it wasted on this?
“Gamma… I can’t do that,” he stammered.
“Throw a punch!” I snapped. Panic flashed across his face, but he backed up and lunged at me. I caught his fist easily, twisted his arm behind his back, and forced him down to his knees.
“Have any of you been sleeping during my training?” I barked, my voice echoing across the yard. “How many times do I have to remind you—you don’t just throw a punch at your enemy! You need technique, control, and strategy!”
The rest of the warriors froz
