I stood in front of the mirror, all dressed to go see my mom at the pack house. Kai would be spending the day with Zane at whatever pack meeting he was going for, and I tried my hardest to not be nervous about it.
I was slowly trying to accept the fact that no matter what, I could really keep Kai away from his dad. I would just be selfish by doing so. And if I was trying to give him a chance, I could at least try to trust him when it comes to Kai.
"Hey, are you ready to go?" Zane appeared at the door, while I was still battling with the hook of my necklace. He and Kai were already dressed, wearing black matching outfits, it was unmistakable that Kai was his son.
