The car pulled to a stop in front of the town hall, where other invited Alphas were present for a meeting. Kai sat quietly in his seat, playing with the buttons on the chair.
He had been silent since we left the house, and he hadn't made a fuss or cried, which was a first.
"We are here, buddy. Do you want to go play with other kids, or come inside with daddy?"
He looked up at me and smiled. "I wanna stay with daddy."
We stepped out of the car and I held his hand, leading us to the huge door. The guards bowed their heads and opened the door for us, and we stepped in.
I walked down the hall, towards the main meeting room where the Alpha's were gathered.
As soon as we entered the room, the noise stopped and everyone turned their attention to us.
