Zane came downstairs just in time, as I opened the huge door. My family was here. Everyone put their hands on their mouth, making a silent shush sound, as we walked my blindfolded mom into the living room.
"Ravenna dear, what are you guys planning? I swear, I can hear giggling. I hope you know, it's rude to make your mother walk blindfolded. I can't bear the suspense."
"You'll see. And, don't worry, mom. We're just planning a small surprise, and, yes, you're going to be very shocked. You're going to love it. I promise."
"Alright. I'll trust you."
I couldn't contain my excitement.
As soon as everyone was settled, and comfortable, and everything was prepared, Zane gave the sign.
"Now, mom. You can take off the blindfold."
I smiled, as she took the blind
