That night, I laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling and begging for the Goddess to give me some sort of answer, some sort of sign, to begin understanding what madness was running through my head.
I’d wanted nothing more than to escape this place. I’d tried running, and I’d fought to have a way out in the contract with Valen. But when I’d been offered an escape by the Alpha King himself, I’d refused.
