Amber’s eyes widened as she took in the transformed dining room, the soft glow of warm-toned lights filtering through the lush greenery. The air was filled with the delicate fragrance of orchids and hibiscus, mixing with the subtle scent of fresh pine that seeped in from outside. It was as if I had taken a piece of a tropical paradise and planted it right here in the middle of our frozen world. Her lips parted slightly, those stunning blue eyes scanning every inch of the space before landing back on me. But she didn’t say anything right away. My smirk faltered just a little. Did she not like it? Was it too much? Too different? Maybe I should have gone with something safer—candles, dinner, the usual romantic setup. s**t, what if she thought it was ridiculous? Then, finally, she spoke.
