Amber closed the book with a sigh, stretching her arms above her head. The movement made her hoodie ride up just enough to expose a sliver of soft skin, and I barely stopped myself from groaning out loud.
She caught me looking and smirked. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you love it,” I shot back.
She hesitated, just for a second, then gave me a small, almost shy smile. “I do.”
Those two words sent Kash howling with satisfaction.
I couldn’t hold back anymore.
I reached for her, wrapping my arms around her waist, and in one swift motion, I lifted her into my arms. Amber gasped, her hands flying to my shoulders as I carried her effortlessly toward the bedroom.
“Aaron—”
“Shh, sweetness.” My voice was thick with need, my heart pounding like a war drum. “Let me take care of you.”
She exhaled
