Dawn's POV
Friday Afternoon — 2:45 p.m.
By the time I pulled into the school pickup line, I'd accomplished three things.
One, I'd taken a glorious two-hour nap.
Two, I'd managed to write an entire chapter without threatening my laptop.
And three, I'd decided that today was going to be a good day.
Granted, last night had been a nightmare.
But I refused to let two idiots with burglary tools steal the excitement surrounding my son's birthday celebration.
Tomorrow was about Evan.
And today?
We were going seafood shopping.
Lord help the poor souls working behind that counter.
