I had already decided to leave for good.
I had already taken my time to think about everything.
It didn’t make sense for me to keep on doing the same thing that made my family shut me out. I even told Bonnie that I was ready to leave.
But everything changed after I heard that Carla wasn’t actually pregnant. I felt so relieved and it was as though a heavy weight had been lifted off my chest.
Maria was the one who broke the news to me and I couldn’t stop smiling. Carla, on the other hand, hastily left the house after Ruiz confronted her.
