Mack went straight to the bar after leaving the police station to give a formal statement. He orders a double shot of rum and a beer. He's fussing about missing the double pay because he was sitting in a room like he killed Elvais.
Jean, the bartender, has been listening to Mack talking to himself. When he heard Elvais's name, he refilled Mack's glass on the house. "Did I hear you right. Elvais is dead?"
