BETTY'S POV
By the time I returned to the room, Lisa was already there.
She was sitting on the edge of the bed with her arms folded, looking at the door as though she had been waiting for me for a while.
“There you are.”
I paused.
“I thought you were busy with Beta Luis.”
“I was.”
She sighed and stood.
“Then he found something else for me to do.”
I couldn't help smiling.
“That sounds like him.”
Lisa gave me a look.
“You're starting to understand him too well.”
I shrugged and moved toward the window.
She followed me with her eyes.
“So, what did you do while I was gone?”
I looked outside.
“The library.”
Her face brightened slightly.
“Did you like it?”
“It was nice.”
