“What? Wa—wait. What did you just say?” I asked, hoping I had misheard one of the security guards.
It sounded like he just told me that my house was under attack. Who could break into my house and why would they let something like that happen?
My mind immediately flew to Zoey.
She was alone at the house.
Fuck! I couldn’t let anything happen to that girl.
“I had to sneak to a corner to take this call… I don’t know what is happening. What should we do, boss?”
My mind was racing with different thoughts. Before I could figure out what to do next, I needed to know who was attacking me.
I let out a wistful sigh. “I’ll send some other men to the house. But for now, just make sure Zoey is safe and they don’t get into the main house.”
