“You must be out of your mind, Zoey,” I said with a scoff as I paced around the room. I was still trying to figure out who attacked me, and she was asking to go back to the same person who had tried to kidnap her earlier.
On second thought, what if he was even the one behind that attack? I was certain that he wasn’t happy that Zoey was with me, so maybe he tried to eliminate me from the picture by sending those people.
