“What do you want from me?” Selena rolled her eyes as she saw me in her living room.
“Happy birthday, Selena. I need you to invite Zoey over for your birthday party.” I went straight to the point.
She frowned. “How did you even know it was my birthday? And why would I invite Zoey over?” she asked, not even bothering to hide the irritation in her voice.
I exhaled sharply. “Because I need to see her today and you’re the only one who can make it happen.”
“Well, I’m not having a party, so leave my house.”
Selena had been cold to me ever since I used her as a spy and it led to Zoey losing her baby.
