***Savvy*** Following the guy's direction, I parked in front of the big brown doors just as I slid out of my truck, the doors opened, and a guy stepped out. His eyes moved till the landed on me as he looked me up and down. I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes. What is it with men these days? Shaking my head, I shut my door, walking towards the mountain of a man who was now standing there, hands on his hips as he glared at me. Holding my hand out. "Morning, Im Savvy." HE glanced down at my hand with a raised brow. but lifted his hand, taking mine. "Shotgun." His voice was rough-sounding. He dropped my hand quickly. I saw he had on a leather vest as well, and on the front of it was Shotgun in white letters. But it also had Enforcer under his name. "Follow me, I will take you to the Prez." Spinning, he walked back through the door, not bothering to see if I was actually following him, nor did he wait to see if I had stepped through the door, which I hadn't, and the door slammed closed. With a huff, I grabbed the door handle, pulling it open, and I stepped in to see him standing there with an annoyed look on his face. What the hell does he have to be annoyed about? "Keep up, will ya. I dont need to be chasing or waiting on you." Alright Im not about to take his what he is dishing out. "It is just a lack of basic manners, or did no one bother teaching you any?" I stopped short, mimicking him with my hands on my hips, head tilted to the side. Holding his stare. IF he thinks he is going to intimidate me, he is sorely wrong. God, what is it with the man nowadays? First that kid from last night, now this asshole. His face said it all, he wasnt ready for that. I heard a bunch of laughter from somewhere. "Excuse me?" He says as he drops his arm to his sides. "Excuse you about what?" I continued to look at him. "For the fact that you were rude outside, or the fact that you slammed the door in my face when you told me to follow you? I mean, if I am to follow, you would not wait and makesure I was behind you before closing the door, and surely you are a man, do they not hold doors for women nowadays? Or is it that you are too busy to be bothered with common courtesy?" He blinked at me, completely thrown off by my words. He was about to say something when a loud voice called out, "What is going on? Shotgun, you find the visitor yet?" Looking around, I saw another man in front of me, built just like the first one. He strolled over, looking between me and Shotgun. With raised brows, "Something going on here?" Clearing my throat, I turn my attention to the man. "No, I was just asking Shotgun here if his lack of manners was caused by no one bothering to teach him." The man who had just come out blinked once, then broke out into a fit of laughter, bending over, hands on his knees, belly laugh. After a few minutes, he stood up, wiping at his eyes. "Oh God, that's a good one," He clapped Shotgun on the shoulder. "Man, she hit that right on the head didnt she?" Shotgun just grunted as he walked off. mumbling under his breath. The other man just chuckled at him. then turned to look at me, holding his hand out. "Undertaker, Im the Prez, what can I do for ya, young lady?" Taking his hand, "Savvy, I came for the ad in the paper." He nodded his head, then waved his hand, "Follow me, we can go to my office." He turned walking back across the room. I hurried after him. He led us down a hall, then hooked a right into an open door. Walking in, I saw it was an office, and man, was it in rough shape. God, when was the last time it was cleaned? He let out a chuckle, looking at him, "Yeah, now, you see why I have an ad out." Crap, did I say that out loud? He offered me a chair as he took the one behind his desk. He waved me off. "No worries, you are not wrong. The last few cleaners I had were not good and were too worried about landing themselves a brother than working." "That wont be a problem. Im married." I told him as I took my seat. He squinted at me. "You're married?" Nodding my head, "Yes, I am." Before I could explain farther he cut me off. "How do you plan to do this job then? cause this job entails you to stay here at the clubhouse Im not running a boarding house." A flash of anger rushed through me, pulling in a deep breath. "If you would let me finish," I snapped at him, my voice a little harsh. He seemed to see it on my face or hear it in my voice; he zipped his lips. "Yes. I am married, but my husband passed away." My voice cracked on the last word. I could feel the burn in the back of my eyes, my tears wanting to come, but I refused to let them. He leaned back, studying me before he let out a sigh. "Im sorry, I didnt mean to come off like that, And Im sorry to hear about your husband." Giving him a nod, "Thank you." "Okay, this job is seven days a week, I pay a flat rate for the week, which is six hundred. If you do more in that week, then I will pay you extra. That is why I am offering a room here. I need someone to be available at all times, as these assholes here can be messy." "That's alright, I like to stay busy, better that way." "Also, these guys are loud and can be a bit much; you need to have thick skin to be around them. Is that something you think you can handle?" I snorted a laugh, but nodded. "Yeah, that wont be an issue." "Right, well, do you have any questions for me?" Blue popped into my head. "Actually, yes. I do have a dog, if you will let him stay here with me, that would be great, but if not, then I will have to pass on the job, as I will not get rid of him, and before you say anything, he is well-trained. He is a great guard dog who will not destroy anything here. Most of the time, he hangs out in my truck or wherever I put him," "What kind of dog are we talking about?" "Belgina malimute" His eyes widen a bit. "Well. Can I see him first before I say yes or no?" "Sure, he is out in my truck now, if you want to come out and see him." We make our way back out through the hall and the main room. I take a minute to look around I see a few women cleaning, or I should say trying to clean. They all had on high heels and were dressed as if they were going to some club, and it was only early in the day yet. "You girls makesure you get the bathrooms, they are looking gross," Undertaker yells at them, making them stop what they were doing. They all shot him a hard glare, "Don't you be looking at me like that, you woman, all sit around doing nothing, you can help out." He clapped his hands, "Chop chop." He pushed open the door for me to walk out as he called out something else as I passed him. I moved over to my truck. I didnt see Blue, but I knew he was in there prolly on the floor like normal. Hearing the door click shut, I walked over to the passenger door, pulling it open. Blue sat up, but as soon as he saw Undertaker behind me, he lowered his head, waiting for a command from me. "Here," I snap my fingers and point to the spot next to me. He jumped down, sitting next to my leg. Undertaker took him in, letting out a low whistle. "Well, I guess no one will be breaking in your room, will they. I cant let you have him loose in the clubhouse while you work, but he can stay as long as he dont cause trouble or try to eat anyone."
