***Savvy***
I took another two days to realize that I was now working for the same club as the men I stumbled across at the gas station, but I have not seen that guy since I've been here. And believe me, I have been keeping an eye out for him. After Undertaker met Blue, he showed me where I was going to be staying.
They he showed me what I would be handling, and I will say it was a lot of cleaning, and these men are gross, there is no doubt about that. He explained that it was always slower during the week, but on the weekends, it's a lot busier and there is always some kind of party. The main bar is open to the public, and they are always full.
He also introduced me to the other women here. None smiled or offered to shake my hand; all I got was a few sneers till Undertaker growled at them, making them hurry off. If I never have to communicate with them, it would be great, then there is no love lost, as they were not happy about me; I guess they thought I was stepping on their toes. However wrong they were, none of them were interested in getting to know me. They looked at me like I was stepping on their toes or I was there to take something from them. I wasnt looking to do either, or was I looking for buddies, especially not some twenty-year-old who thought the world owed them something.
By how they were dressed when I met them, and then them being told I was taking over the cleaning, you would think they would have been happy they wouldn't have to clean, but I guess that was not the case.
Yesterday I met some of the wives of the guys. They were nicer and more welcoming. All of them were close to me in age, all had kids that were around Hexley's age, a few years younger than him. I told them about him. They asked about my husband. I simply told them he passed, it's not that I didnt want to tell anyone, I just wasnt ready to talk about it. It is still too fresh, even though it's been how long now. The pain is still there, and I wasnt looking for any pity. I was picking myself up and getting my life togather and learning how to live without the one person who has always been there.
They filled me in about the other women here, who I learned were called club bunnies, and they had one job only, and that was to entertain the single brothers. I didnt need to be told what kind of entertainment it would be.
I tried to keep Blue in my room I was given but he was not having it and chewed through the door the first day, Undertaker only laughed, saying he could stay with me as long as he didnt eat anyone, It has been to back Blue stay right with me as I move through the club house, No one bothers me when he is with I find it funny the only one who stops to talk to me is Undertaker, Blue seem to know he isnt going to hurt me so he has stopped growling at him when he comes close.
Im currently mopping the back side of the main room, or as I was told, the common area. I stop turning around I see a group of men walking into the room,
Others are greeting them with handshakes and claps on the back of the shoulder. They all take a seat at the bar, but one notices me.
He is taller than the others with wide shoulder making him look like a linebacker. His hazel eyes locked on me.
My breath hitches at the intensity of his stare. Suddenly, someone knocks into my shoulder, making me stumble to the side. I turn to see one of the club women standing there,
Blue lets out a low growl but does not move from his spot.
"You can stop eye f*****g our men." One of them sneered in my face, "And if you think that we are afraid of your little doggie, you are wrong. If that mutt comes near us, our men will put a bullet in its f*****g head."
She stands with her hands on her hips, Face painted in makeup, and barely any clothes on.
I simply raise a brow at her, as I push my anger down, I do not care what she attempts to do to me, but going after Blue is another thing, it's like going after my kid, you're going to get your ass kicked. This is the first time they have bothered me; it's normally just dirty looks and snide comments.
Before I can say anything, she kicks out, knocking my mop bucket over. She lets out a chuckle, "There, that will keep you busy so you stop staring at what is not yours." Clapping her hands, "Chop chop. You'd better get all that cleaned up."
I look down, then back up to her. I pull in a deep breath, leaning the mop against the wall. I place my hands on my hips as I stare straight at her. If she is feeling froggy, she'd better get to jumping. I see Undertaker and a few of the guys over her shoulder, standing there watching.
Moving to look back at her.
"I will give you the chance to clean that up, or else." I keep my voice steady.
She scoffed. "Or else what? Huh, Im not afraid of you, I run this clubhouse, what I say goes, you are beneath me, you are just a cleaner girl."
Dropping my hands from my hips, letting them hang at my side. "Dont say I didn't warn you."
"Ha," was all she got out before I moved. Dropping down, I swept her legs out from under her. No sooner had her ass hit the floor than I grabbed her ankles, pulling her ass right through the water on the floor. She let out a shriek as she fell backwards onto her back. Reaching down, I grabbed her by her hair, hauling her to a sitting position, whipping out my small pistol from my backside. Blue was up, snarling in her face while I pointed my gun, pressing it to her forehead.
"Let me make this clear enough for you to understand: I do not care what you say or do to me, but if you ever threaten my dog again, not only will I let him rip your skinny ass apart, but I will not hesitate to put a bullet in your f*****g head. I am not some little girl from high school you can bully or try to pick on; I will end you before you even try again. So I suggest you stay clear of my dog and me." I click the hammer back on my pistol, she sobs out, "Do I make myself clear?"
Nodding her head quickly, "Yes,"
I let her go with a little more force, and she falls back. I stand up, looking at the other woman who stands there, eyes wide.
"That goes for the rest of you as well. Now, you all can clean this mess up, seeing as it was you all who helped make it."
They all scramble as they help the one up, as the other starts to clean up the water, I step back, uncocking my gun, slipping it back into the holder on my backside,
"Blue," I call him as he backs up as well, but keeps his eyes on the women.
"Savvy." I heard Undertaker call me, making me turn to look at him, "My office now!" He barked at me. He turned walking off.
Well s**t. I see the one guy still staring at me, but he follows behind Undertaker. I do the same walking to his office. I stepped inside.
The door shut behind Blue and me. Undertaker is standing there, arms crossed. There are four other men in here as well, including the one who was watching me.
"Care to explain yourself?" I dont say anything. "And since when do you carry a freaking gun on you?"
