***Alex*** A ringing sound pulls all our attention to the woman lying there, and blue whines as the ringing continues. "Ugh, someone is going to get that?" Med looks at us with a raised brow, but they all shake their heads. Then they look at me. "What?" I say. "You get that," Prez says to me. "What? Why me? You get it." I tip my chin to him as he is the closest. He shakes his head. "Nope, im not looking to be dog food, and seeing as he isn't eating you and listening to you, then you get it," Prez says. I can hear the amusement in his voice, Fucker. The ringing stopped, but started right back up. Dam it couldn't. They couldn't leave a voicemail. Huffing, I move, kneeling next to the couch. Blue was right next to me; he nudged her with his nose, then licked her hand. Tapping her hip, I didnt feel a phone anywhere. Then it hit me, she didnt have any pockets. It cut out again, but started again, making me groan when I realized where it was. It was in her bra. Why the hell is it in there? Maybe cause she dont have pockets, a small voice snapped in my head. I do not know what the problem is, I mean, I've been with how many women, and here I am acting like a teenager who is about to see his first pair of t**s. Letting out a sigh, I moved slowly, hooking my finger in the collar of her shirt, "Dude, what are you doing?" Prez says stepping forward, but stops when Blue growls. "It's in her bra," I say, slipping two fingers into her shirt. Feeling the hard edge of the phone, I quickly grab it, pulling it out and flipping it to see Doug flashing on her screen. It stops again, but only for a second, before it goes off again. I hand it to Prez. He looks at me. "Hey, you're the Prez. I did my part, chicken s**t. Now do yours." I gripe at him, hearing the other chuckle, knowing I'm goading him. He snatches the phone from me. He hits the button but then puts it on speaker, he dont get to say anything as a man's voice comes from it. "Savvy, what the hell. Where are you? I ran into Poncho, and he said he bought your farm, and you moved out. What the hell!" Blue whines as he looks at the phone, tilting his head to the side. "I think you need to back up, bub." Our Prez growls through the phone at the man who was yelling. "Who is this? Where is Savvy? " Why are you answering her phone? " And where is Blue?" he growls right back, not caring. Blue stands at the hearing of his name. I wonder if he recognizes the voice. "Im Undertaker, Im the President of." "Rambker Bastereds," the guy cuts him off. "I heard of your club. But what I want to know is why you have Savvy's phone?" "And who are you to be asking?" I say, feeling annoyed at this clown. I hear him scoff. "If you must know, Savvy is my sister-in-law. Now, I want answers. What does your club have to do with Savvy?" I feel a small amount of relief that he called her his sister-in-law. "Savvy has started working for us a few days ago. She had a small issue today. She fainted while working." Prez says not giving out information to an unknown. "She what?" I heard movement on the other end of the phone. "Where is she?" I could hear him walking. "I will come get her." I huff at his work, pulling a look from Prez. He raised a brow at me. I look back at the woman who is still out cold. "We are at our clubhouse. If you know us, then you know where we are." My eyes snapped to him; he was inviting an outsider here. What the hell. "I will be there ten minutes tops." He ended the call. Prez just stares at the blank screen. "What the hell, man, you are letting him come here?" I snapped, but pulled it back as his eye locked on mine. "Yes, did you not hear him? he is her brother-in-law. It's family, so yes, he is coming here. I didn't say he could take her with him, did I?" I shake my head, "No," "Then you do well to remeber who the f**k is the President, yeah?" Nodding. "Yes, sorry, Prez," I mumble, with a quick nod. "Good, now I will have someone go out and meet him, you." He points at me, "Will stay here." "Why?" "Because you are the only one that dam dog likes other than her." He tips his chin at Savvy. "And everyone in here does not want to die today." He barks out orders, wanting to know what happened and why Blue attacked that dam prospect. and for someone to meet that guy out front and bring him to the office. I move, taking a seat at the table next to the couch, letting my eyes roam over the woman. She is not the usual type to be in this kinda place, I realized that the moment I saw her in the hallway. She whimpered in her sleep, mumbling a low No. It sounded pained. Blue whined as he nuzzled his head under her arm. Her face pinches as another. No, slip from her. This time, it was broken-sounding. Leaning closer, I noticed something sliding down her cheek. She was crying in her sleep. I sucked in a breath as another one slipped out from her closed eyes. I was moving before I knew it, rubbing my thumb under her eye, wiping the tear away. She whimpered again, but leaned into my touch. Blue looked up at me, and I swear he had a pained look as well. Lifting my other hand, I rubbed his head, "What happened to her?" I ask. As if he could tell me. Just then, the door opened as Prez walked in with a guy following him. The guy's eyes landed on Savvy. He was moving, rushing over, dropping to his knees, pushing me out of the way. Blue was up wagging his tail, "Hey buddy, what happened to mama?" He says as he pats the dog's head. "What happened?" He looked up at us. "There was an issue with Blue and one of my prospects. She got upset. Chaos tried to calm her, but she fainted before he could get to her." He hung his head, "Dam it." HE cursed under his breath, "Look, if she is sick, I need to know. I will not toss her out, but I need to know what she needs to get through it." Prez says. He shook his head. "It's not a sickness as you think, she is grieving, and she is struggling with it. I told her to come to me if she needed anything, but she went all silent. I thought she needed some space, so I gave it to her till ran into her neighbor." "Wait," Prez says as he moves around the couch. "She said she was married and that her husband had passed." The guy flinches at the words, and a broken look falls over his face. "Yes. Her husband died only six months ago in a car accident, a drunk driver." His voice is low, and you can hear the pain in it. My chest burns for this woman, but I do not know why. "She collapsed at the funeral as well. The grief is eating her alive." "What of the other driver?" I asked. His head rises to look at me. "He was let go. He comes from money, and his family paid to cover it and get him off the hook. She knew it as she attended the hearings. Rage, red-hot rage fills me. "He rubbed his forehead, "Hexley is going to kill me." He mumbled. "Who is Hexley?" I asked. "Her son. He stayed as long as he could, but got new orders to report back to duty. He has no idea that she is here and not at the house where she last was when he left,"
