***Savvy*** Doug stayed for a little longer, but then he had to leave and get back to his office. He was a little reluctant to leave me here, but Undertaker assured him I was safe there and would be taken care of. He finally agreed with a last call me if you need anything, a kiss to the forehead, and a quick pat to Blue's head. He slipped into his car, leaving the lot. "Savvy, I want you to take a few days off," Undertaker says to me as we walk in back through the doors. "What? Why?" He places a hand on my lower back, steering towards the end of the bar. Pulling out a stool for me, I sit on it. He takes one next to me, leaning his elbows on the top of it. "Cold one," He says to the guy behind then tips his head at me. "And whatever she wants." The guy looks at me, "Just a soda, please, thank you." I look back at Undertaker, "Now explain why I need to take a few days off, I'm perfectly fine." He let out a sigh as he scrubbed a hand down his face, "Because you passed out today, and I need to handle what happened with one of my prospects, and I would feel better if you took a few days off till I sort this all out. I will also be putting a guard on you. The prospect that Blue bit this morning is not one of mine; he is part of the patch over from another club." A tall glass was set in front of me, and a bottle of beer was slid across as well. "Whats a patch over?" I found myself asking. He took a swig from the bottle, "It's when another club runs into issues and can no longer operate, and their club gets taken over by another one." "Oh, so it's like buying out another business." He tipped his head to the side, "Something, we have to weed through the memebers just like you would when buying out a business, but there are always some bad apples, and this Finn has been an issue since the patch over started, and with this now coming up, and no one told me about it. Certain steps have to be taken, but he will be losing his prospect cut and will be banned from club property." Oh, now I understand why he said about a guard, if that's the route he is going, but what he doesn't know is I really do not need a guard, but I wont tell him that. "And this is why you are talking about a guard for me?" He nodded his head, "Yes, he is not someone who is going to take this lying down, I can guarantee it. He will be a problem." I bite my lip, wondering if I should just tell him I do not need one. I would hate that I would be taking up someone's time for no reason. I cleared my throat, "You do know I dont need a guard, right?" He turned his head, looking at me. I can see he is studying me. "Im going to take a bit. Why?" "Because I can take care of myself, and it would be a waste of time for someone to follow me around, not to mention I have Blue and Im not some weak damsel that needs a man to protect her," Pinching the bridge of his nose. "Savvy, I get that you feel that way, and im sure Blue is handy in most cases, but he isnt bullet proof nor are you, You are new to our world and it would give me peace of mind that you have someone at your back, it would be forever just till we handle this and know he is not threat to you or the club." I could hear the worry in his voice, which I found odd for a badass biker president. I hated making others worry, that's one of the reasons I didnt call Doug or Hexley. "Alright," I found myself saying, guilt eating at me for making him worry. "If it will make you worry less, then fine," A smile appeared on his face, and right then, I knew I had been played. Narrowing my eyes at him, I pointed a finger at him, "You." He broke out in a low laugh, "Yep, Doug was completely right." "Freaking Doug, He will so pay for this." I grumble as I take a sip of my drink, "Dam traitor." This time, he threw his head back, barking out a laugh that carried through the room. "Fine, if you want someone to watch over me." I make air quotes, "Then that person better not be some snot-nose youngster who thinks he can take out the world." He wiped at his eyes, "Oh, I have no intentions of doing such a thing, I will makesure you have one of my older memebers on you. maybe Shotgun, seeing as you two get along so well." Crossing my arms, "Do so, and that man will be well-mannered that even his mama wouldn't recognize his ass," "Hey, I heard that." Someone calls out. I lean back to see Shotgun sitting there, glaring at us, "Well, I'm glad you did, not like I was whispering it." I shot back at him, sticking my tongue out at him. His face broke out into a smile. Undertaker just shook his head. "I'll do it." A deep voice came from behind me, making me startle, spin, and find a pair of hazel eyes staring at me. "Ah, Chaos," Undertaker says, "Nothing agasint Savvy here, but guard duty is not something my ranked officers should be handling," The tall man standing here, his eyes never leaving mine, shook his head, "Im better at it than the others, plus her dog likes me." "That's true, Prez. None of us wants to become dog food." Shotgun yells out. making the room break out into laughter. Undertaker turns on his stool. "All you nosy asses need me to find you something to do other than eavesdrop on my conversations!" He barks out, making them all jump and scatter about. Turning back to face the bar. "Now, were we? Oh yeah, Chaos as your guard, I will approve it, as you make a good point. I want her in your sight even here at the clubhouse. Once this is handled with Finn, and we know he is not going to be a problem. till then she is your responsibility, she goes nowhere alone or leaves club property alone." My head swivels between the two men. "Uh, you know im sitting right here?" I wave a hand around. But they both ignore me and continue with their conversation. "I will also have her room moved closer to yours," Undertaker says, making me jump off the stool, "Hold up here, fellas. No one is moving me anywhere." I hold up both hands, making them stop talking. "Firstly, I am right here, and you will not talk like Im not able to make a choice for myself, Im a grown ass woman, and no one will decide where I sleep or what I am to be doing each day. If you think him watching over me is going to change my whole day, you are sorely wrong," Both men just looked at me. "I am not like the other woman here. I do not need a man to come in and play hero to boost his ego, as your man Finn found out that evening at the gas station. I can handle myself just fine. I have spent a lot of time on my own, and I have not had to have anyone step in for me." "Savvy, Im not trying to do any of that. Prez only mentioned moving rooms closer for safety reasons, you do not have to if you don't want to, no one will force you to do anything you don't want to do. " Your room is close to Diamond's room and after the issue today, he was probably thinking it would be better to keep you separated," Chaos says, his voice is low and calm-sounding. I will admit I didnt think about that. My shoulder slumped as I realized what he was trying to do, and now I feel like an ass. Why do I always jump headfirst into things before thinking? I seem to do that a lot lately.
