***Alex***
I made my way back out to the common area, taking a seat at the bar. I needed to get myself under control. Something in me didnt like how she broke back there. The pain in her eyes when she pulled back, it all but gutted me.
"What can I get you, Chaos?" The prospect behind the bar asked.
"Long neck."
He tipped his head, reaching down, pulling one out of the cooler under the bar, and sliding it across to me.
My mind went back to the woman I left in the room a moment ago.
I know she must have remembered something cause when she looked at me sitting on the floor with Blue, I saw it flash in her eyes. So Im going to say it was something with the dog. But I'm not fully sure. Her sobs were filled with pain as I held her.
That guy, Doug, His word rang in my head,
The way he talked about her and the way he looked at her made it clear he cared for her, but not in the way a lover does; it was more like a brother watching out for his sister.
A hand came down on my shoulder, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked over, seeing one of the brothers slide onto the stool next to me. He was one from the patch over, not one of ours who started with us.
"Have to give to ya man, you were so willing to volunteer for babysitting?" He chuckled as he looked over at the prospect. "Draft." Was all he said, then turning his head to look at me.
"I mean, I do not see what all the fuss is about, I mean, it's not like she is someone important to the club or anything. She has only been here for a few days and has everyone turning upside down."
The prospect slid a tall glass over the counter to him. He gave a nod as he picked it up, took a long pull from it, and set it back down.
"Hell, she should be having some sort of push back after her dog tore up Finn's arm."
And there it was, he was over here poking around cause of that little s**t head.
"s**t, maybe even shot that mutt."
My fist was moving before I realized it. I took him square in the jaw, flipping him right off the stool. I was off mine, standing over him.
"One more word out of you and I will shoot you myself."
He tipped his head to the side, spitting out a mouthful of blood. "You are siding with a woman over a brother. What the f**k!"
He scrambled to get up.
"You have to be joking? What club picks a b***h over their memebers?"
I was up in his face; I was taller than him, so he had to look up to meet my stare.
"Watch your mouth, I do not know how you talked about women in your old club, but here we respect them and that woman is not a b***h, and if you so much as say those words again, I will end your useless f*****g life, and do not evet threat her dog again, cause maybe next time I will let it chew you a new one." I snarled in his face.
He let out a low laugh, "You think you are a big man walking around with that patch on your chest, and everyone is to what? Jump at your words. Ha. I ain't afraid of you." His finger jabbed into my chest. I looked down where he was touching me.
Lifting my head, "If you plan to keep that finger, you'd best pull it back."
By now, others have gathered around us. I heard someone yell to get Prez.
"Or what?" He sneered at me,
They do not call me Chaos for my calm manners. He pressed the tip of his finger harder into me. "That's right, you aren't gonna do nothing,"
And with those words, my control snapped,
My hand shot out, grabbing hold of him. I landed two punches, making him stagger back, but before he could do anything, I was on him again. I lost count of how many times I hit him. By now, I had him out the front door in the parking lot.
Grabbing him, I threw him into the front end of a truck. He let out a groan as he fell to his knees. Grabbing him by the front of his kutte, I lifted him. Driving my knee into his middle, he huffed out as he folded.
Before I could hit him again, arms went around me, pulling me back. I fought against whoever was holding me, wanting to finish teaching this piece of s**t a lesson, but another pair of hands was on me,
"Chaos, stand down." I could barely make out Prez's voice; I was so focused on the man lying flat out on the ground.
I wasnt hearing anything, nor was I seeing anything. All I could see was that asshole and his smug-looking face. Prez's face suddenly blocked my view, his hand grabbing my kutte,
"Hey. Hey, look at me. calm down, he is down, he got the message."
I growled at him as I struggle agasint who ever was holding me. They now had me pinned to the side of the clubhouse. Prez was yelling something over his shoulder as he kept his hands on my Kutte.
There was a loud bark that seemed to snap me out of my trance of wanting to kill that asshole. My head snapped to the side. I saw her standing there with Blue. Her eyes went to the man who was now being carried by two prospects. They moved back to me, her eyes looked me up and down, taking in what was happening. All my fight left me as I stopped fighting against the ones holding me.
Blue let out another bark as she started walking towards me, not looking away. Blue came right up, butting in between Prez and me. I didnt look away from her either. I could feel myself calming down,
"Back off." I hear someone say, as soon as she was close to me, the hands that were holding me suddenly disappeared.
She looked down at my hands, her small one reaching out, taking one of mine, lifting it, she seemed to be studying it.
"These need to be cleaned," She pulled my hand."Come on. I have a first aid kit."
I didnt fight her, I let her lead me back inside. I didnt look at anyone, just her backside as she took me back to her room. Blue was right behind us, his nose brushing the back of my leg every so many steps.
"Sit." She pushed me towards the chair. I didnt fight her, I sat down, my body now feeling heavy as the adrenaline was wearing off.
She moved over, searching through a bag on the bed, then pulled out a small white box. Coming back over, she kneeled in front of me, lifting my hand, checking them. She began to pull things out of the box.
"Want to talk about it?" She dapped something on my broken skin over my knuckles. She looked up for a brief minute but then looked back to what she was doing,
"You don't have to if you don't want to."
Letting out a breath. "He was talking s**t, and ran his mouth too much."
She nodded, "Guess he said something that didnt settle right with you?"
Nodding once, but realized she was looking at my hands,
"Yeah, and then he thought I wasnt going to do anything about it. He isn't one of our memebers, and he was out of line. He needs to know his place, and he thought by taking on me he would get somewhere, but he thought wrong."
I saw the corner of her lips tip up just a bit. We didn't say anything anymore, she just continued to clean my hands. A calm, quiet settled around us. I do not know what it is about her, but there is something that seems to be drawing me in. And I do not have it in me to fight it.
