It was the night of the full moon, and my developing Alpha could not be any further on edge. Every one of my senses was spiked and working on overdrive.
My head had been pounding nonstop from the moment I woke up that morning. I felt mildly disoriented and knew that I had no choice but to postpone my meeting with the king to a later date.
I stayed out of the lab because I wasn’t able to deal with the chemicals. And unfortunately the medical ward wasn’t much better. I considered going down to the archives for some real peace and quiet, but the overwhelming dust was too much.
