I really wasn’t too keen on the idea of having Alexander in the lab...Or really anyone for that matter. But at least I was there with him and could keep a close eye on him.
On top of that, it wasn’t as though I was able to pull away from work at the moment anyway.
Part of me secretly hoped that it was Kane standing on the side of that door just now. I know I technically threw him and Olivia out before, but I wanted Kane to come back. Just him.
I wanted him to show me that he still cared—that our relationship still mattered to him.
Instead, I get asked these half-assed questions about my well-being as though he wasn’t aware of what his actions physically did to me.
