"Why do I feel like you asking me to dance is because you want a chance to talk away from Savvy," my mother asks as we move on the dance floor. "Because you are the reason I'm so smart." "Stop trying to butter me up, Dennis. What plan have you concocted," she asks with a knowing smirk. "I need you and Richard to back out of watching Penny." "Are you crazy? You want me to say I can't watch my granddaughter the day they leave for their honeymoon."
"Yes, because it will be the perfect reason for Savvy to stay at the house. As it stands, she plans to move back to her apartment tonight. I need more time to convince her we are meant to be together. I need her to confide in me what is holding her back, mom, but I need her in my space to do that."
