Savvy POV The sound of babbling pulls me from sleep. I smile when I open my eyes and turn toward the portable crib that I have in my room. My smile fades when I realize this really isn't my room. This isn't my house. I'm a guest and I won't be for much longer. This isn't my life. I don't get the happily ever after. My father made sure of that. The familiar feeling of disgust rises in me and I tamper it down. I push the thought away and slide out of bed. "Good morning sweet girl.
