“You won’t be,” I said. “If marriage is ever something you want, we talk about it because you want it. Not because an attorney gave us homework.”
JJ looked down at her coffee. “I’m not saying I could never want to get married again. I just need that to be my decision, whenever and if ever it happens. Not something I agree to because everybody else thinks it makes sense.”
