We pulled back into the compound just after five.
The deliveries had already been arranged so none of us were carrying much. Just bags from the salon and whatever small things we'd held onto. Tessa and Marie split off toward their sections almost immediately, both of them looking significantly more satisfied with life than they had this morning.
That left me, Mira and Harlow walking through the compound together.
"Okay," Harlow said quietly. "Who goes first?"
"What do you mean who goes first?" Mira said.
"I mean whose man sees them first," Harlow said. "Because this is going to be a moment and I want to witness all of it."
"You're not witnessing my moment," Mira said.
"I absolutely am."
"Harlow."
"Mira."
They looked at each other.
