(Cassidy) Mira and Harlow left around noon. Mira had Sarah to get down for a proper nap and Harlow had somewhere to be that she didn't fully explain, which was typical. The section went quiet after they left. Dane was in the other room doing something I wasn't paying attention to. I sat on the edge of the bed with my phone in my hand and looked at the name on the screen. Sienna. My sister. I hadn't spoken to her in eleven years but I still had her number saved. I'd never deleted it. I'd never been able to explain why. Maybe because deleting it felt too permanent. Maybe because some part of me always knew this day would come eventually and I didn't want to have to look her up like a stranger. I pressed call before I could think about it any longer. It rang three times. Then four.
