For a moment neither of us said anything. The music was loud and people kept moving around us, but all I could focus on was the fact that I was standing in a club staring at Zander Price. The last time I'd seen him had been at the house viewing. Seeing him here tonight hadn't crossed my mind once.
"Cassidy."
I let out a breath and shook my head. "I can't believe you're here." A laugh escaped him immediately. "That makes two of us."
"Of all places."
"Right?"
For a second we both just stood there looking at each other. It felt strange, but not because I was uncomfortable. It was strange because this wasn't a place I ever expected to run into him. If somebody had asked me yesterday, I never would've guessed tonight would end like this.
