I woke up on my wedding day to Harlow already in my room.
She was sitting in the chair near the window with coffee in her hand, her hair done, and an expression that said she’d been awake for a while. She looked like she had already made decisions about how the morning was going to go. Knowing Harlow, she probably had.
Ridge was gone.
I expected that. He wouldn’t stay in the room on the morning of the wedding, not when everyone had already made a big deal about him seeing me before the ceremony. Still, the empty space beside me made my chest feel strange for a second.
“You’re already here,” I said.
“I’ve been here for an hour,” she said.
“It’s early.”
