Veronica’s POV
Vince Bruno's father, the notorious criminal who had caused so much pain and suffering to our family, had escaped from prison. My heart raced as I thought about the potential danger he posed to us, especially to Alejandro and Camila.
Bruno's face was grim as he shared the news with me. "We need to take precautions," he said, his eyes filled with concern. "We can't let our guard down."
I nodded, feeling a sense of fear creeping in. We had thought we were finally safe, but now it seemed like our nightmare was far from over.
"What do we do?" I asked Bruno, my voice barely above a whisper.
He took my hand, his grip tight. "We'll get through this together," he said. "We'll protect our family, no matter what it takes."
