“Ugh, this is taking too long.” I slammed closed yet another book from the pack's archives. The dust kicked up.
We had already searched through the commonly referenced books and found nothing, only to realize that it was most likely an uncommon practice. I mean, how many times would our pack or my parents look up references for separating a wolf from their human?
Answer: Never.
That meant we needed to dip into the forbidden reference books.
I have to admit, Courtney was unsettlingly excited about us getting access to the forbidden books. I don't know what the Goddess was thinking about this mate match, but I have known Ryner all my life, and it was hilarious to think about these two paired together.
