Avery POV: The wounded sly snake was there, on a gurney right in front of me, and I had little pity for him being shot. It was the first time I had ever seen an injury I did not immediately want to tend. I was a healer, but this bullet was well-deserved. This was the man who killed Blake’s father, Jackson, Brian Stone, and nearly added Dallas and me to that dreadful list. I could tell that he had lost at least two l****s of blood just by looking at his clothes.
