Landon left my house without doing anything. I wouldn’t lie, I was disappointed. But he knew I was really tired and decided to reschedule.
After he left, I went over to my room, had a long shower, changed into my nightwear, and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up to a thousand calls from Liam. My heart skipped a beat.
I called him back immediately.
Did something happen? Why did he call me so many times? The call didn’t connect the first few times, but I kept trying.
When he finally answered, I let out a relieved sigh. At least, he was alive and that was all that mattered.
